Reader questions, calculator embed requests, methodology disputes, dataset citations, press inquiries — all welcome. Response time is usually two to five business days. Faster for short questions; slower for anything that requires me to dig into specifics.

How to reach me

What I respond to

Calculator embed requests The calculators on the homepage of this site are intended to be embeddable on third-party sites. The embed feature is on the roadmap but not yet live. If you want to embed one of the calculators on your own site (blog post, brand guidelines, internal tool), email with the use case and I’ll prioritize the embed work. The license is CC-BY 4.0 for the math and the visualization; attribution required.
Dataset citations The benchmark CSVs published on the /data/ pages are released under CC-BY 4.0. Citation format is documented on the dataset page. If you’re citing the data in published research, academic work, or industry reports and want me to know about it (so I can link back), drop a note. I keep a list of citations on the dataset page.
Methodology disputes If you think a formula is wrong, an input assumption is unreasonable, or a vertical preset is materially off from your own measured data, send the dispute with specifics. I take methodology corrections seriously — the calculators are useless if the math is wrong. Methodology revisions are documented in the revision history at the bottom of the methodology page.
Reader questions Operator questions about applying the calculators to your specific account or vertical. Most welcome. I’m most useful for ecom DTC margin questions and B2B attribution questions; less useful for very-small-business advice or platform-specific feature questions outside Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Meta Ads.
Press & research Journalists and researchers working on related topics — PPC tools, attribution, DTC unit economics, B2B funnel math — I’m happy to be a source on the record. The benchmark datasets are open and citable; I’m available for context, interview, or methodology questions on request.

What I don’t engage with

If you’re embedding the calculators

The license requires attribution — a link back to the calculator’s page on this site. Beyond that, do what you want with the calculator: embed it in a blog post, in your company’s internal training materials, in a client deliverable. Modification is fine as long as the modified version is clearly distinguished from the original (don’t represent your modified calculator as the canonical one published here).

If you build a derivative work (a calculator that’s based on the formulas here but extends them), please mention it — I keep a list of derivatives on the methodology page and the cross-promotion is mutual.
